Northfield Mt Hermon Gilder Center
The Gilder Center, Northfield Mt Hermon’s new home for its math & science departments, was designed to honor the school’s rich architectural history while also providing a Silicon Valley-like learning environment for students. The project broke ground in May 2020 and the first classes happened in October 2021. Tight Line was proud to work for Fontaine Brothers, the Construction Manager, who did phenomenal job leading the project team. The Gilder Center is the “greenest” building on campus. Some of TLC’s contribution to the sustainability goals of the project include the Cross-Laminated Timbers (CLT) and Thermal Break Z-Girts. TLC’s scope of work included:
